This page is a history of my work experience and my volunteering experiences both of which I have had so far up to the present day.
Registered Student Organizations (RSO) Coordinator for Promotions and Partnerships

September 2023 to June 2025
Description:
The position serves as a point-of-contact for UW Tacoma’s 80+ student clubs and organizations, assisting them in their endeavors and providing resources, guidance, and training/workshops for their development and growth supports. Additionally, the position also supports all RSO efforts, projects, and processes alongside the Assistant Director for Student Involvement with responsibilities to connect with Registered Student Organizations, as well as develop and maintain a system of communication with the organization and their leaders.
Committees Joined Through the RSO Coordinator Position:
- 2024-2025 University of Washington Tacoma Council for Campus Engagement (CCE): The Council for Campus Engagement is a committee comprised of UW Tacoma students, meets regularly to discuss and review proposals for the Campus Event Fund (CEF) and the Conference and Training Fund (CTF). The Campus Event Fund and the Conference and Training Fund provide students with resources to put on homegrown events on campus and pursue professional development opportunities outside of the classroom or campus employment.
- 2024-2025 & 2023-2024 Co-Chair of the Associated Students of the University of Washington Tacoma (ASUWT) Registered Student Organizations (RSO) Committee: Created during the 2023-2024 school year, the RSO committee is committed to fostering an inclusive environment where student organizations can access support resources, engage in student advocacy, and find partnership opportunities. We hope to empower RSOs to support campus life and the broader campus community. ASUWT recognizes that Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) are the lifeforce of the UW Tacoma campus. The RSO Committee serves as a dedicated platform where members of student organizations can openly discuss concerns, ask questions, and offer comments on how ASUWT can improve the student experience. In this committee, the ASUWT Director of Outreach and those who work in the RSO Coordinator position serve as Co-Chairs to the committee.
- 2024-2025 University YMCA Advisory Council & 2023-2024 University and Tacoma Center YMCA Advisory Council Member: The YMCA Advisory Council serves the community to help in ensuring that the YMCA resources and community both locally and with the University of Washington Tacoma is connected and helps with the YMCA’s annual campaign. In the 2024-2025 year, the YMCAs split into 2 separate Advisory Councils which is why the title has shifted.

Challenges and What Was Learned:
I learned not only about how having a job works but I also learned how to make decisions effectively and to accomplish many tasks while continously learning skills to support those goals even if it might seem daunting or intimidating all in a timely manner. Additionally, I also learned how to have balance in large scale individual and group projects while also recieving and using feedback from others to improve projects for the community.
Accomplished Throughout the Position's Duration:
- During this position, the number of student clubs at the University of Washington Tacoma has grown from 30 clubs to 82 clubs and by the end of the position was still showing growth in more students wanting to start new clubs.
- Developed and implemented innovative promotion strategies that increased the quarterly event participation by over 60% in the duration of 2 academic years.
- Designed and wrote an ongoing biweekly newsletter for the entirety of the position that went to over 500 people, led meetings to help over 60 new clubs start, and co-created 9 community events each with 100+ in attendance with 4 events reaching 150+ people and 3 events reaching 200+ people per event.
- Collaborated with all University of Washington Tacoma departments and 10 external businesses outside of UW Tacoma through event outreach to and for the local community.
- Established 4 departmental partnerships between the RSO program/Center for Student Involvement and some of the other departments which led to event collaborations and more availability to resources for students and the community.
- Collaborated with 3 people to create 3 workshop events and in developing legacy documents and training to help in creating longevity in the RSO program by providing resources and information to both those who are/want to be involved in RSOs and for those in the future that will hold the position.

Position:
Website and Publicity Teams Volunteer

January 2025 to Present
Description:
Volunteering on the Website and Publicity teams in website development using Elementor and WordPress, graphic design using Canva, and video editing using DaVinci Resolve. Some projects I have worked on so far include creating marketing materials and captions for some of the posts on the conference's social media pages such as Instagram and LinkedIn, updating some of the conference's website pages, and video editing testimonial videos.
Challenges and What Was Learned:
With this volunteering, it has been a lot of learning technical skills such as video editing and using Elementor but also in how to collaborate and improve ideas from feedback with a large team and to always grow and continuously learn no matter the outcome.

University of Washington Tacoma YMCA Advisory Council Member

June 2025 to present
Description:
Serving as a UWT recent-graduate and also community member, this position continues the role that I started in November 2023 that was held for this council from the RSO Coordinator position but now is as a volunteer. The goal of the advisory council to serve the community to help in ensuring that the YMCA resources and community both locally and with the University of Washington Tacoma is connected and helps with the YMCA’s annual campaign.

Description:
I have helped out by doing an array of tasks such as setting up and cleaning up events such as car shows, helping to run activities during the car shows, helping to change the file type and edit the club's newsletters, and even serving as a substitute secretary for one of the car club’s meetings.

Throughout my time of attending Bethel High School, my participation in various clubs during my high school career such as Class Office, Cambridge, Band, Pep Band, Jazz Band, National Honors Society (NHS), Event Horizon Robotics, Speech and Debate, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), and Link Crew, I have volunteered and served in an array of programs such as:
- Helping to organize my school’s Class of 2022 Senior Prom through the Class Office program.
- Mentoring/Tutoring through the Cambridge program.
- Helping to set up various events from concerts to assemblies.
- Running club fundraisers and program outreach events for programs such as Class Office and Speech and Debate.
- Running program outreach events/tables for programs such as Event Horizon Robotics, Speech and Debate, Future Business Leaders of America.
- Running donation events such as a book drive and food drive through National Honors Society.
- Cleaning up the local area through National Honors Society and Future Business Leaders of America.

On May 4th, 2019, as a part of my high school’s National Honor Society program, I was a volunteer that helped to clean up a local park (Point Defiance Park in Tacoma, Washington, United States) by doing aspects such as cleaning up walking, hiking, and biking trails.
